Reporting directly to the AU Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the day to day financial management of the Australian region, including month end close, cost centre and Executive reporting, daily cashflow management, budgeting & forecasting and management of Payroll & Accounts Payable functions. This role will require an ability to review with rigor and technical knowledge, a curious and logical approach to problem solving, the ability to understand Zip's business processes with a passion and drive for improvement to support Zip's growth. Month-end close to deadlines, including cost centre and Executive reporting with strong understanding of business drivers behind the financial performance Balance sheet accuracy and monthly reconciliation workpapers Managing the Payroll function and the Accounts Payable function Daily operating cash management and future forecasting Collaboration with the Financial Reporting team to deliver 6 monthly Audit requirements, including IFRS 9 ECL modelling and Goodwill impairment assessments Annual budget preparation and forecasts as required Leading, developing, and supporting your team to ensure their growth Work with the Zip Exec team on a daily basis, collaborating on commercial matters, product rollouts, forecasts & budgeting and all other financial matters Provide required Product Support within Zip's Core business Contribute to the evolution & continuous improvement of Zip's finance processes & procedures
To help us level up, you'll bring:
CA / CPA qualified with 10 + yrs exp Proven ability to lead and develop a team Cashflow management experience Extensive experience in end to end management of the finance function Experience in management of Australian Payroll Aust & NZ GST law understanding Good knowledge of Business Processes and what good looks like Desire to execute and demonstrate urgency whilst being flexible Ability to work autonomously, think ahead and plan A true collaborator Curiosity - an ability to question, investigate and problem solve Ability and passion to contribute to the growth of others
