Function: Operations
Inviting applications for the role of Tax Specialist
Responsibilities
Process activities related to statutory and tax accounting and other financial accounting activities
Perform local tax accounting and all the relevant tax reporting activities
Perform accounts reconciliations, including balance sheet review and reconciliation between IFRS and local statutory accounts
Ensure adequate documentation for tax audits is prepared and stored
Provide support during inspections and queries from tax authorities
Liaise with external and internal auditors
Initiate and lead actions to solve issues, improve and standardize process
Proactively support including implementation of legislative changes, improve and redesign process flow for Tax compliance in an organization
Provide own process expertise to other members of team (trainings)
Communicate in a timely manner any relevant information related to the process
Regular meetings/contacts with client
Keep contact with management and various functions within the organization (Controllership, HR, Legal, etc.)
Qualifications
Experienced with financial and accounting aspects (min 2 years)
R2R experience particularly in the specific areas of Tax and Statutory or/and Indirect Tax
Accounting knowledge on Tax and statutory reporting
Communicate fluently in English, Czech or Slovak will be an additional advantage
Work experience with ERP system
Knowledge on: PeopleSoft, EPM, SAP (advantage)
Specific knowledge of taxation (Czech/Slovak VAT, CIT - advantage) & statutory accounting rules
