Senior Accountant

Job & Company Description:

My client who is one of the top logistic providers is looking for a Senior Accountant to take on a 6 month contract role. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Assisting with queries on IFRS 16
• Assisting with the biannual IFRS 9 calculations
• Attending with queries from head office and auditors
• Assisting with queries on monthly reporting, budgets and forecasts
• Analysis of data
• Investigation and interrogation of data

• Assisting the General Manager and Financial Manager as required
• Assisting with reporting packages and preparation of monthly proofs
• Assisting with data for acquisitions
• Assisting with quarterly recon
• Preparing budget presentations
• Assisting with queries on the bi-annual forecasts

Education:

• CA(SA)

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Minimum 1 year experience
• Proficiency in Excel
• Strong analytical and evaluation ability
• Strong accounting and consolidations application
• Up to date and sound IFRS knowledge and application (NON-NEGOTIABLE)
• Hyperion & SAP experience (NON-NEGOTIABLE)
• Strong tax knowledge in South African and Africa entities
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong planning and organisational skills
