  • What will you be doing?

    We are currently looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join either our Brisbane or Sydney team on a 12-month fixed term basis to ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time. You will also get involved in other activities and projects such as annualised salaries, reconciliation, reporting and payroll system administration.Your role will include:
  • Supporting and assisting the Regional Payroll Manager in the full end-to-end payroll process in Australia - constituting of 900 permanent employees and approximately 200 casual employees;
  • Maintaining payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data;
  • Assistance with Payroll related general ledger activities and assisting with End of Month Reports, annualised salaries and reconciliation processes;
  • Salary packaging and leave reconciliations;
  • Prompt resolution and responses to employee and stakeholder queries;
  • Assisting with Payroll Tax and Superannuation Lodgements;
  • Award Interpretation experience and understanding of annualised salaries process;
  • Payroll systems configuration and maintenance of employee records; and
  • Assisting with process improvement projects and other ad hoc duties as required.

  • Qualifications

    Who are we looking for?

    You will come to us with:
  • 3-5 years' experience within a similar payroll position, preferably gained in a professional services environment;
  • Experience using Sage MicroPay is preferred;
  • Current knowledge and understanding of legislation relating to payroll e.g. Single touch payroll; Award Interpretation and annualised salaries;
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel;
  • Experience in payroll systems configuration or the ability to rapidly acquire such knowledge;
  • Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail; and
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills.
