Transport for NSW is the lead agency of the NSW Transport cluster. Our role is to lead the development of a safe, efficient, integrated transport system that keeps people and goods moving, connects communities and shapes the future of our cities, centres and regions. We work with several government agencies to coordinate road, rail, bus and maritime services, always keeping the safety and comfort of our customers at the heart of what we do.
Right now we have a great opportunity for a Senior Manager Finance to lead the delivery of tier 0 and tier 1 enquiry services and transactional processing for Finance Services. As part of the geographically dispersed Transport Shared Services (TSS) Service Centre management team you will be jointly accountable for driving a high-performance, customer-centric culture and delivering on continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead an efficient, customer-centric tier 0 and tier 1 service including integrated enquiry services and transactional processing for the Finance Services service-line.
Work closely with Finance Services service-line owner, providing strategic advice regarding service architecture design, performance metric development and decision making around placement of tier 0 and tier 1 services.
Manage the allocation of resourcing within Finance Services to meet current and future demand, and build a multi-skilled workforce to increase flexibility in resource management.

Tertiary qualifications (Business Management, Finance, Accounting or related discipline), or demonstrated equivalent knowledge and/or experience.
Sound knowledge of relevant finance policy and legislation requirements in the public sector.
Demonstrated experience leading a shared services team, building a customer-centric culture, achieving service performance levels and ensuring compliance with complex legislative and policy requirements.
Demonstrated track record in supporting the delivery of large-scale service improvement projects and initiatives including the automation of services and the development of a robust knowledge base.
Demonstrated ability to build trust, influence and communicate effectively at both a strategic and operational level, applying a commercial and customer mindset, and creatively problem solving.
Experience managing geographically dispersed and/or regionally based teams.
Ability to travel.
