The primary function of this role is to support the maintenance of the general ledger and accounts payable for Heli-One Poland including

  • Processing payables and wire transfers
  • Verification of invoices in formal terms and accounting
  • PO review with invoices
  • Review and follow-up on any variances with suppliers
  • AP invoices/customs document preparing
  • Prepare and review journal vouchers for the month-end process
  • Preparation of monthly reconciliations such as bank reconciliations, other payables, receivables, inter-company, etc.
  • Preparation of the monthly VAT returns
  • Preparation of VAT registers
  • Assistance in preparing materials for the year-end audit
  • Assistance in preparing internal and external invoices
  • Translation of certain documents from Polish to English
  • Prepare foreign currency revaluations of the various accounts
  • Variance analysis of various balance sheet and income statement line items
  • Identify process improvements related to the month end closing process
  • Preparation of regulatory and statistical reporting (i.e. National Bank)
  • Assist in preparing any management reports required
  • May perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

  • Previous experience of 5-7 years
  • Experience in full cycle accounting is an asset
  • Understanding of the Polish Bookkeepers'' Act
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel data-processing skills
  • Ability to work cross functionally with different members of the organization
  • Ability to work as a team and individually
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to build and maintain relationships across the organization
