We have a great opportunity for an experienced Accountant to join our Finance Controllership team at MMC

  • We will count on you to:
  • Preparation of the year-end consolidated and company statutory financial statements and related note disclosures in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Liaising with external auditors to ensure annual audit requirements are met.
  • Assist Accounting Manager in preparation of technical accounting analysis of transactions and local implementation of new accounting standards.
  • Assist Accounting Manager in preparation of quarterly financial update for board reporting.
  • Cash flow forecast preparation and monitoring of compliance with relevant entities' Financial Services Licenses (AFSL).
  • Assist in review of monthly/quarterly reporting packages and/or provide input/commentary for packages, including query resolution.
  • Review and analysis of trial balance to ensure accurate recording and movement in balances.
  • Partner with MMC Accounting Operations hub to ensure accurate and timely management reporting close including balance sheet reconciliation and resolution of exception items.
  • Partner with the FP&A team as required when reviewing month end results for month end close reporting.
  • Work to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in areas such as:
  • Identify business needs for new or redesigned accounting processes and work with relevant stakeholders to implement.
  • Continually evolve management reporting processes and reports to ensure the best available information is presented.
  • As required, work with IT groups and project teams to test and implement new systems and enhancements.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax provision calculations in accordance with US GAAP and local accounting & tax regulations.
  • Assist in the completion of tax schedules and packages as required by US GAAP.
  • Assist in other ad hoc projects and tasks as required.

  • What you need to have:
  • Minimum 3 years' general Accounting experience.
  • CA / CPA qualified and Degree in Commerce or Accounting or equivalent.
  • Experience in preparation or audit of financial statements.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Hands on experience in managing a diverse set of stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Experience in tax accounting and reporting ideal
