The role:

Join our Finance Team and support the Legal Entity Controller in delivering the financial accounting function across Coty Australia, in line with company objectives and with an emphasis on continuous process improvement. The key objective of this role is to ensure that financial reporting, tax compliance, audits (both internal and external) and other statutory requirements are completed accurately and deadlines are adhered to, as well as to own and drive the month end close process by coordinating the efforts of the offshore and local finance team members and providing hands-on support as required.

Reporting to the Legal Entity Controller, you will:
  • Own and drive the month end close and associated reporting processes and procedures
  • Prepare detailed analysis and commentary for the Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet
  • Coordinate and drive year-end activities including year-end audit, statutory reporting and tax return
  • Oversee and assist the accurate and timely completion of tax compliance including fringe benefits tax (FBT), payroll tax, withholding tax, IAS & GST
  • Oversee the insurance renewal processes, including preparation of insurance renewal forms
  • Liaise and consult with external auditors, tax advisors, insurers and ASIC as required
  • Participate and assist with budgeting and forecasting
  • Identify and drive process improvements across the finance function

  • You will have:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar Financial Accountant role
  • Fully qualified CA/CPA
  • Solid understanding of Australian Tax, GAAP and IFRS accounting standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Strong planning and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong system skills (SAP and Hyperion experience are highly regarded)
  • High level interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams
