Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a leading Educational Organisation to recruit for a dynamic and experienced Finance Business Partner for a fixed term contract lasting minimum of 12 months. An exciting and interesting opportunity within the Financial and Planning Department where you will provide a robust business partnering service to the organisation. The position can be based at the organisations Cheltenham or Gloucester sites.

Your new role

The team is dedicated to the provision of professional services to support the organisations planning processes and managing its resources, in a controlled and sustainable manner. It has a key role to play in developing management information and scenario planning to support the key decision-making processes and is also responsible for the production and coordination of statutory returns to external agencies. You will provide management accounting services as well supporting the Finance and Planning department budget. Aid the budget holders to develop and manage their budgets by producing timely and accurate management reports. You will be involved in budgeting, monitoring, and forecasting for both revenue and capital spend, support investment appraisals & research bids and you will be responsible for reviewing current processes in order to improve efficiency as well as ad-hoc financial projects.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this exciting Finance Business Partner position you will need experience within a similar role, part-qualified/qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA or qualified by experience with strong MS Excel skills and excellent communication skills to build relationships at all levels. You will be able to work under pressure, adhere to strict deadlines and manage workloads. You will have relevant experience in a Business Partnering role, trained in a range of financial systems and be a adaptable quick learner. It will be advantageous but not essential you have experience within the Education sector.

What you'll get in return

This hands-on and varied Finance Business Partner position is offering a salary between £34,000 - £38,000 per annum on a fixed term contract for a minimum of 12 months. Based in their Cheltenham or Gloucester offices, benefits including flexible working, contributed pension scheme, remote/office working and a generous holiday allowance of 38 days plus bank holidays.
