The Opportunity

Our Business Advisory Division is committed to providing strategic advice, innovative solutions and service excellence to large middle market businesses and small to medium enterprises. We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a talented and experienced Accountant to join the Business Advisory team in our Bairnsdale office.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work within a talented, committed, and high performing team and give you access to interesting, hands on work and both established and emerging clients.

Responsibilities include:
  • Working in close collaboration with members of the business advisory team and other leaders of thefirm;
  • Assist in preparing business advice and/or tax returns, business advice statements, financial statements and reconciliations for companies, partnerships, trusts and a range of individualbusinesses;
  • Work on business advisory projects such as: budgets and cashflows, KPI dashboards and management reporting, our virtual CFO offering, developing business plans, cloud accounting advisory,etc;
  • Utilise your strong Excel skills and practical experience with cloud accounting products (e.g. Xero, QBO, Xero, MYOB) includingpayroll;
  • Ensure jobs are completed effectively by meeting technical standards and deadlines, withinbudget;
  • Attend client meetings with senior members of theteam;
  • Be entrusted with direct client contact
  • Liaise with ATO and other Government bodies on client matters.

  • The successful candidatewill ideally have previous accounting experience.
