Job Description Summary
The Gene Therapy Program (GTP) is entering a new era of unprecedented opportunity with the great potential to reshape the face of medicine as we know it. Our discoveries have set the stage for successful treatments and possibly even cures for devastating genetic diseases.

The laboratory of Dr. Jim Wilson, at GTP of the University of Pennsylvania, has been a leader in the development of innovative vector technology for close to three decades. We have emerged as the "go-to" organization for public and private partners, who want to participate in the gene therapy space. Currently, we are positioned to lead another round of vector innovation and establish pre-clinical and clinical proof-of-concept in therapeutic applications of in-vivo genome editing.

Continuation of all GTP positions is contingent upon funding.
Job Description

Due to continued growth of our program, we are searching for a new Financial Analyst to provide consistent financial review and cost allocations for our internal cost pools, monthly effort reporting, and payroll allocations.

As a Financial Analyst, you will analyze, interpret, and process internal allocations on a monthly basis for GTP's various internal cost pools which range from internal lab supplies to vivarium expenses. Additionally you will work with GTP's Research and Core Directors to review Monthly Effort Allocations and make changes accordingly based off of their input. You will work with GTP Directors to assign payroll allocations for new hires while also review and approve ad hoc payroll distributions within Workday. There will also be a monthly reporting set that you will maintain, enhance, and review under the supervision of the Director of Financial Management and Operation.

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's Degree and 3 to 5 years of relevant experience to compliment strong financial and organizational skills including - but not limited to - data analysis, monthly and quarterly reporting, budget monitoring, and spending rates. Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other financial reporting tools are required. Knowledge of Oracle Financial and SAP Business objects is preferred. Qualified candidates will have also have strong communication and time management skills.
