Head of Reporting and Modelling

Role Overview

The Reporting & Modelling Stream Lead sits within the Group Risk Strategy & Transformation team and supports Risk's accelerated strategy in optimising they the business delivers key financial and nonfinancial risk reports, models and analytical insights. This stream delivers value by concentrating on building simplicity and standardisation into key processes, and driving a high degree of automation and re-use as well as advanced analytics and modelling. The solutions put in place by this value stream will be utilised by all other Risk streams, creating shared capability and enablement, with a sustainable, long-term focus.

Job Requirements:
  • Taking a clean slate approach to reimagining how risk reporting and modelling is conducted to drive a more modern, simpler, lower risk and more accessible reporting and modelling environment
  • Leading the design and build of contemporary, automated and intelligent reporting and modelling processes
  • Deconstructing business processes and services to identify, describe and prioritise areas of additional value creation
  • Assimilating the vision and roadmap, and executing a long-term, sustainable practice
  • Leading a matrixed reporting structure to contribute towards a shared and common goal.

  • Defining and building the capabilities and skills required to deliver best in class reports and models, whilst ensuring an engaged and high performance team culture.

    Experience and Qualifications needed

    With a background in credit risk management, you have experience with industry best practice tools and techniques/statistical portfolio management. Known for having an enquiring mind, you aren't shy about asking questions when there is ambiguity and pride yourself on your continuous improvement mindset.

    In addition, you will have:
  • Proven experience designing and implementing a reporting or modelling framework and strategy aligned to a contemporary or future ready environment. Cloud-based reporting or analytics expertise will be an advantage
  • Talent for dealing with a large amount of complexity and drawing out major considerations
  • Excellent ability to understand and describe how value is created, and to drive the execution to critical value
  • Aptitude for shifting work from idea to concept to execution
  • Proven capability to effectively manage internal and external relationships and influence across the enterprise, including the Board and Regulators
  • Proven experience and success in building and leading team
