Technical Manager International & Audit
We have a fantastic opportunity for an internationally experienced Technical Manager (Audit and International), to join our respected Policy and Technical team. This position plays a key role ensuring CIPFA has a strong UK national and international technical foundation and is seen as an expert contributor to best practice standards and guidance for our members, the public finance profession, and those working in governments more widely.
This role will contribute to the development of international guidance in auditing, public financial management and governance.
Technical Manager (International & Audit)
Responsibilities:
• Delivering a proactive programme of policy and technical development which positions CIPFA as a leading provider of audit and public financial management expertise.
• Providing an expert research resource in public sector auditing (including performance audit) which underpins the basis for CIPFA guidance, best practice frameworks, publications, commentary and thought leadership.
• Developing and writing CIPFA policy positions, standards, professional guidance, publications, commentary and thought leadership pieces.
• Providing a professional secretariat function to CIPFA's international advisory panel and where required, to CIPFA faculties, panels and boards as required.
Technical Manager (International & Audit) Requirements:
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent, dynamic, confident, and driven with excellent interpersonal skills. You will have technical expertise in all aspects of public sector auditing and practical experience of supporting communities of professional practice.

Flexible - with offices in London, Chester, Birmingham and Edinburgh.
Salary:
up to £56,000
Type: Full time, permanent, 36 hours per week
