Accounts Bookkeeper
Full time - Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm

We are a distribution company supplying the commercial vehicle industry and we are now looking for a permanent Accounts Bookkeeper, to join our small friendly team within our growing business. This is an office based position.

The role will primarily be to process purchase invoices, bank reconciliation and other related accounts and administration duties.

The successful candidate will assist and shadow staff members in other departments to gain a broad knowledge and understanding of the business to be able to provide support during staff holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Process purchase invoices and credits
• Post bank transactions
• Bank reconciliation
• Supplier statement reconciliations
• Prepare monthly purchase ledger payment runs
• Issue supplier remittance advices
• Assist with VAT analysis
• Nominal reconciliation
• Ad-hoc duties as required by management

Key Skills:

• IT Literate in MS Office and Sage 200
• Clear understanding of bookkeeping and accountancy procedures
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work with all individuals across all departments
• Well organised with a good eye for detail
• Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
• Can apply logic and reason to resolve problems efficiently and effectively

Experience required:

• Accounts: 1 year (Preferred)
• Sage 200 experience
• Previous VAT experience
