A DAY IN THE LIFE

What a normal day at work looks like for you

Day to day, you'll be accountable for:

Accounts Receivable ledger management, you'll:

  • Have full ownership and accountability for receivables accounts assigned to you based on forming great internal and external relationships
  • Be accountable for the delivery against cash collection targets measured by an appropriate set of KPIs
  • Take ownership of cash allocation and reporting against overdues
  • Be the first point of contact for customer queries

Reconciling and reporting on the cash receipts for your accounts, you'll:

  • Provide daily reporting of cash collections and overdue debt
  • Be responsible for posting and allocation of cash receipts
  • Support the Senior Management Accountant in providing short term (3 month) cash forecasts
  • Other adhoc projects as required
YOUR EXPERIENCE

What you bring to the job

Your background will demonstrate:

  • Excellent working knowledge of the AP, Credit Control and AR processes
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a credit control role
YOUR QUALIICATIONS

About your education and qualifications

You'll really need to know your stuff, which means you'll:

  • Ideally have a finance qualification
  • Strong system skills, including Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
YOUR REGULATORY KNOWLEDGE

Anything specific you need to know

This is a specialist role, so you'll need a good working knowledge of current UK accounting standards.

To join us at this level, you need:

  • Experience of accounting software, and ideally a knowledge of Access Dimensions.
ABOUT THE ROLE

T&C's:

  • Working days are Monday to Friday
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Permanent
  • Place of Work: Solihull Office with 2/3 days per week remote
