In this role, you'll focus on improving our debtor collection performance, this will involve improving the relevant finance processes and systems, and the way we do things across our entrepreneurial led, success driven business. A DAY IN THE LIFEWhat a normal day at work looks like for you
Day to day, you'll be accountable for:
Accounts Receivable ledger management, you'll:
- Have full ownership and accountability for receivables accounts assigned to you based on forming great internal and external relationships
- Be accountable for the delivery against cash collection targets measured by an appropriate set of KPIs
- Take ownership of cash allocation and reporting against overdues
- Be the first point of contact for customer queries
Reconciling and reporting on the cash receipts for your accounts, you'll:
- Provide daily reporting of cash collections and overdue debt
- Be responsible for posting and allocation of cash receipts
- Support the Senior Management Accountant in providing short term (3 month) cash forecasts
- Other adhoc projects as required
What you bring to the job
Your background will demonstrate:
- Excellent working knowledge of the AP, Credit Control and AR processes
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a credit control role
About your education and qualifications
You'll really need to know your stuff, which means you'll:
- Ideally have a finance qualification
- Strong system skills, including Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Anything specific you need to know
This is a specialist role, so you'll need a good working knowledge of current UK accounting standards.

- Experience of accounting software, and ideally a knowledge of Access Dimensions.
T&C's:
- Working days are Monday to Friday
- 37.5 hours per week
- Permanent
- Place of Work: Solihull Office with 2/3 days per week remote
