Job Details

An excellent newly created position for a Purchase Ledger / P2P Manager based in Leeds. This role would suit an experienced manager with an extensive knowledge of P2P and/or purchase ledger.

Client Details

Page Personnel have partnered with a compassionate organisation in the Housing & Care sector. Following a restructure in the senior management team, they are looking to hire a Purchase Ledger / P2P Manager to join their Finance Department.

This role will be based from their office in Leeds, however will be working from home for the foreseeable. Upon the reopening of the offices, a blend of home and office working will be available to those who want to.

Description

Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage, develop and support the procure to pay team to provide an accurate and timely service
  • Review and maintain procedures for accounts payable and procurement processes
  • Analyse spend by supplier and payment method (e.g purchasing cards, invoices, direct debits)
  • Reporting on the performance of the function and drive process improvement to achieve value for money in the team
  • Support the development and implementation of systems and processes to drive efficiency
  • Manage our key supplier relationships alongside operational teams
  • Provide regular updates on payment runs and cashflow to colleagues in finance for forecasting and monitoring
  • Work closely with operational teams on planning future procurement activity and act as a key point of escalation for any issues
  • Assist in the preparation of annual statutory accounts and external audit process
  • Manage a team of 5 employees, including all line management responsibilities

Profile

Candidates wishing to apply to the role should have:

  • Recently worked in a P2P (procure to pay) or Purchase Ledger role
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A good commercial acumen
  • Management or supervisory experience
  • Extensive knowledge of accounts payable processes
  • Previous experience in the housing, care or non-profit sector is advantageous, but not essential

Job Offer

The successful application will receive a competitive salary + 37.5 hour working week + annual leave rising up to 33 days (inc. statutory) + 8% pension + working from home options.
