Systems Accountant

Our client is now looking for a Systems Accountant. The post holder will undertake systems support to the Finance & Property Service and financial system users. This involves providing advice and information which assists managers in the delivery of their services.

What the role entails:

To write and produce reports from the organisation's key financial system for use by service managers and senior officers in the delivery of their roles.

To assist the Senior Accountant and Finance Manager in the automation of producing statutory returns and financial statements.

To undertake reviews and maintenance of data.

To prepare any other financial information as required by the Senior Accountant, Finance Manager, Service Managers or Senior Council Officers.

To provide training to service users and Senior Managers on the use of key financial system.

To be considered for the role, you will require the following:

Undertaking AAT Level 4 or already a qualified Accounting Technician or equivalent

3 years' experience in an accounting environment, preferably within Local Government

Must be competent in the use of Microsoft Office packages, specifically Excel

Must have experience of working with financial systems specifically Unit 4 Business World (formally Agresso)

Experience of undertaking data reconciliation
