Rutherford Briant are exclusively recruiting for a fast-growing business based in South Essex who are looking for a Management Accountant to join their team.

This opportunity is perfect for an ACCA, ACA or CIMA Qualified or Finalist who is looking to gain more exposure to the month-end and Management Accounts.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparation of monthly management information
• Assisting with the preparation of the monthly management accounts.
• Management and reporting on overheads and exceptional costs.
• Reviewing all accruals and prepayments and liaise with Accounts Payable
• Reviewing Accounts Payable invoices to ensure all postings/codings/details are correct
• Reviewing and analysing all export sales with other key areas of the business and present findings to the Finance Director & Finance Manager
• Lead monthly meetings to improve processes and knowledge of Accounts Payable
• Ensuring all costs are capitalised if the criteria is met
• Posting payroll journals
• Variance analysis
• Monthly distributor reconciliations
• Preparing month end/year end journals
• Intergroup reconciliations
• Preparation of reports to private equity owners
• Month-end stock reconciliations including liaising with distributors and investigating queries
• Assisting with the year end audit and preparing and reviewing statutory accounts
• Quarterly generic reporting
  • Assisting with the annual budget
• Setting up GL codes, dimensions and sites in Sage for other departments
• Any adhoc duties or projects for the Finance Manager/Finance Director

£35,000 - £40,000
