Do you have experience and knowledge in Risk strategies, procedures and policies? We are looking for highly experienced senior risk analysts who have previously worked in personal finance, specifically motor finance and personal loans while using SAS in previous employment. In addition, we are looking for a candidate who can optimise the conflicting objectives of maximising accept rates and revenue whilst controlling delinquency, fraud, and bad debt.

Key

Responsibilities:

  • Analyse application data, complete weekly reports, understand trends, and present within internal meetings
  • Develop, recommend and monitor risk strategies which maximise revenue whilst minimising bad debt and detrimental customer behaviours.
  • Provide input to pricing departments on applicant quality and expected risk levels
  • Maintain, update, and develop the Motor MI suite which is used to update senior management within the monthly Risk Committee meeting
  • Complete development/monitoring on expected risk forecasts, including the monitoring of cut-offs by dealers
  • Develop, maintain and monitor account performance MI for all vehicles financed by the bank.
  • Support the commercial teams in investigating specific applications where they may not have progressed through the risk engine as prescribed
  • Help to upload strategy changes within the implementation team, including live testing, and monitoring following the release
  • Complete controls for the Asset Manager to ensure that new and used vehicle values are being used within the system correctly

Candidate Requirements:

To be considered for this new opportunity:

  • Must be educated to degree level having achieved a 2:1 or above in relevant studies.
  • Advanced SAS experience is essential, with SAS base and SQL programming or similar language.
  • Must have a full understanding of the credit risk cycle
  • Logical, Methodical and Numerate
  • Flexible - able to meet the business needs.
  • Excellent analytic skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of credit bureau data and products.
  • Have an understanding of Data Protection Laws.
  • Must be a self motivated and diligent individual.
