Tax Manager, Investment Management (Multiple Positions)

Tax Manager, Investment Management (Multiple Positions), PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, New York, NY. Provide tax consulting services to investment partnerships and regulated investment companies regarding the structure of the investment fund, the fund management company and trading strategies.  Review tax returns, relevant schedules, work papers and K-1s.  Manage compliance projects, including tax provisions and year end distribution projects. Manage project planning, administration and economics including budgeting, staffing, billing and time analysis. Demonstrate in-depth technical expertise. Develop and maintain client relationships.  

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Business Administration, Tax or a related field plus five (5) years of post-bachelor’s progressive related experience. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Business Administration, Tax or a related field, plus 3 years of related experience.

Must be a certified CPA, or foreign equivalent, Enrolled Agent, or Member of the Bar.

Must have at least one year of experience with each of the following:

• Identifying tax issues that impact the investment management industry;
• Conducting tax research;
• Directly advising clients on complex tax related issues;
• Analyzing the tax implications of commonly traded financial instruments; and
• Preparing corporate and partnership federal and state tax returns.

Travel up to 20% is required.
