POSITION SUMMARY

We are recruiting for a Finance Data Analyst to join our finance team in Salford. 

This role supports the FP&A manager to provide a regional function that takes ownership of performance data and directly impacts the financial decision-making process through analysis, financial projections and reporting. A function that provides robust and adaptive support to the finance team and wider business in a fast paced, commercial environment and can provide valuable insight for a global organisation that continues to grow both organically and through acquisition.

The role will offer the opportunity to be involved in executive level analysis and reporting and you will be expected to be a pro-active contributor to ideas and projects that will improve the efficiency of the finance department and help add value across the business. It will also offer full study support towards the completion of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants qualification.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide accurate monthly Client Profitability analysis for the regions sites using various reports and systems to gather data and allocate costs accordingly.
• Provide detailed analysis of outsourced production costs for the region by site and by client on a monthly basis.
•  Support the FP&A Manager to develop and maintain accurate KPI analysis for the EMEA region.
• Support the FP&A Manager to develop and maintain standardised Financial Performance reporting for the EMEA region
• Support the FP&A manager to leverage the different financial reporting systems to develop more accurate and insightful KPI reporting for the business.
• Execute and develop reports and dashboards in the financial reporting systems for use by various financial and non-financial end users.
• Support the monthly forecasting process, creating / running reports from the forecasting system and inputting data into the forecast templates.
• Support the annual budget process by providing financial data to the budget owners and helping to complete budget templates for the UK sites.
• Maintain existing monthly commercial reporting.
• Maintain existing financial models that support the financial analysis of the UK business.
• Provide ad hoc cost analysis, retrieving data from the various systems to highlight overspend vs budget by site and by cost centre.
• Provide analytical support to the Business Partners and FP&A manager on ad hoc projects.
• Gather financial and non-financial information from across the business and produce reporting that provides business insight.
• Successfully complete the requirements of the CIMA apprenticeship scheme.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

• Foundation level CIMA or equivalent. 
• Ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Comfortable working with multiple systems and large volumes of data
• Proficient Excel Skills
• Ability to adapt priorities quickly and to work within strict reporting deadlines.
• Ability to work autonomously and at the same time pro-actively work with various functions across the business to gather financial and non-financial data.
• Determination to get to the root cause of any data inaccuracies and resolve any issues
