My client a leading professional services business based in Warwickshire require the support of a skilled Management Accountant to support their accountancy team on a fixed term basis for between 9-12 months. The role has the potential of further extension and could progress to permanent.

They are now recruiting for a Management Accountant on an initial fixed term basis with the potential of this role becoming permanent.

Description

The Management Accountant role will involve:

• Key support for monthly reporting requirements of the business and provision of detailed management information.

• Provision of key business/commercial analysis supporting various stakeholders with specific financial insight

• Monthly reporting of key firm statistics on day 2 (from TB via Excel

• Assisting in preparation of monthly management accounts working day

• Reporting variance analysis for prime overhead departments on a quarterly basis and understanding nature of variances.

• Financial reporting and business partnering

• Undertaking regular overhead surgeries;

• Undertaking the reporting and control of all transactions for the Service Company to ensure correct VAT treatment;

• VAT returns and monthly journals between entities and reconciliation of inter-company balances;

• Balance sheet management tasks aimed at improving the cash forecasting of the business;

• Ad hoc finance jobs - rental invoices, daily cash balance reporting,

Profile

To be successful in this role you will need strong Management Accounting exposure, ideally experience within a professional services industry such as Legal or Accountancy although not essential. Key understanding of accounting principles with an advanced Excel skill set. Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various senior stakeholders
