About the role

We have an excellent opportunity for an Analyst to join our Finance team.


The Finance Analyst is responsible for assisting in the development of centralised management information (MI) reports, all aspects of financial management, including regulatory and financial reporting, and the process of internal control policies and procedures.


The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in the financial industry and have strong Excel skills.


This opportunity is suited to an individual who is motivated and has the desire to improve their professional skills and knowledge and is aiming to work towards their professional accountancy qualifications.


The ideal candidate for the role will have:


• Previous experience working in the financial industry.


• The ability to meet tight deadlines with a high-quality output.


• Good understanding of standard computer applications (Microsoft

Office package) and in particular strong Excel skills.


• Experience of working autonomously to prioritise own workload in a time-pressured environment.


Some of your main responsibilities/key duties will be:

Key responsibilities of the Finance Analyst include but are not limited to the following:


• Assist in the setup of MI reporting, proactively engaging the business to support MI development.


• Assist in the creation of a suite of MI reporting across the bank.


• Help prepare monthly management accounts and when necessary investigate variances to budget.


• Help complete month-end and year-end close process.


• Assist in preparation of regulatory returns.


• Help develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.


• Confirm quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.


• Support the implementation of the various projects across the bank by dealing with ad hoc queries as and when they arise.


• Contribute in a proactive approach to stakeholder engagement, sustaining effective service levels and ensuring delivery to these agreements.
