About the Role Compusoft is continuing to professionalise its back office and improve its finance ;Hiring a Regional Financial Controller for the Nordics, Switzerland, Italy, Spain and Cyprus for the execution of robust financial control, constant improvement of processes and take a leading role within the finance team. The candidate must have experience in driving transformation, change management and experience in working with financial controls across different countries and companies and managing a team, ideally across borders. Compusoft is implementing NetSuite and other tools to help automate and optimise finance processes, therefore the candidate must have an interest in using technology to unlock finance value and an ability to deeply understand business and operations beyond scope of finance to build creditability with operational teams. Based in our Ashby-de-la-Zouch office, with flexibility to work from home 2 days a week Responsibilities
  • Managing accounting records for international entities
  • Ensuring accuracy of financial information, through maintaining appropriate controls, reports and processes
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations, including preparing and submitting direct and indirect tax filings and other declarations or company secretarial matters
  • Preparing and publishing consolidated financial statements to IFRS and local GAAP
  • Overseeing accounting processes, ensuring regular and complete period close and reporting
  • Analysing financial data, supporting decision making
  • Monitoring expenditure and approving purchases
  • Coordinating auditing processes and statutory account production, being a primary relationship holder with the auditors in region
  • Maintaining general ledger accounts for responsible entities
  • Delivering an integral control environment that ensures completeness and accuracy of all inputs into the accounting records
  • Supporting Head of Finance to maintain and develop financial processes to reflect and capture all business activities, projects and commercial ventures
  • Collaborating with Finance Transformation to ensure optimised NetSuite processes
  • Delivering regular financial reporting
  • Partnering with stakeholders on the performance of their activities, driving performance growth in line with company strategy
  • Managing and developing a team of accountants and financial assistants, providing clarity of roles and giving feedback
  • Suggesting updates and improvements for accounting systems
  • Supporting the transformation agenda
  • Successfully on-boarding newly acquired businesses onto reporting platform
  • Contributing to group finance initiatives
Required experience and qualifications
  • Professional accountancy qualification ACA, CIMA or equivalent
  • 5+ years' experience in a financial control environment with exposure to entire finance process lifecycle
  • Experience in managing financial control for multiple international entities
  • Experience in a finance change / transformation environment and automating manual processes
  • Experience in managing and developing a team, in different countries preferably
  • Experience working for a SaaS company preferable, but must have experience in working for a similar size company and ownership of similar revenues
  • NetSuite experience is desirable
