A specialised software house focusing on ERP is looking for an Accountant, who will ensure the completeness and accuracy of the financial records including enforcement of procedures in order to ensure efficient completion of clean audits

* Monthly reconciliation of intercompany loans and controls accounts
* Monthly sign off vendor reconciliation
* Monthly journals and calculations done throughout the year
* Reconciliation of rebates between database/source calculation, invoices issued, receipts and account resolutions/payment
* Set up and maintain accounting system on NAV
* Monitoring and enforcing compliance with procedures
* Implementation of new procedures and training of staff
* Attend debtors, key creditor, stand-ups, finance management meetings and any other required meetings
* Audits preparation and prepare audit file and assist with audit queries
* Provide auditors with financial information required during the audit
* Ensure correct journals are passed during the audit
* Support team members with daily queries
* Complete staff PA's
* Supervision of financial staff members
* Monthly reconcile, submit and VAT payments
* Quarterly statistical compilation for Department of Labour
* Maintenance of company file compliant with CIPC
* Upon request from SARS provide financial information and clarification for SARS audits
* Accept and resolve management or technical issues delegated by Finance Management meeting or other appropriate senior staff

* MS Office and Outlook, internal systems, EFT banking
* Understanding of BCEA provisions including leave and sick leave
* Understanding of UIF and WCA processing requirements
* Understanding of Accounts principles including creditors, invoicing, disbursements, reconciliations, petty cash control
* Familiarity with organisational structure, systems, policies and procedures * *
