The opportunity:

We are looking for an Assistant Financial Controller to ensure robust controls for our Bifold site in Chadderton.

You will be responsible for leading a small Finance team, deputising for the Financial Controller as required, and taking the lead on the day to day running of the Finance function. This is a busy team, and we are looking for someone who is 'hands on' and adaptable in their approach. This is a great role for an ambitious Finance professional looking to gain greater exposure and experience in a leading global industrial business. You'll enjoy improving the way the team works, and will be keen to get involved with broader projects and changes that arise across the business.

You will be an important point of contact for broader Finance matters and this role offers an experienced Finance professional the opportunity to be a key member of the Finance team and part of a wider transformation that is being instigated across Rotork.

Key responsibilities are expected to include:

• The production and consolidation of all Group subsidiaries management and statutory accounts to draft stage for review by Financial Controller
• Daily management of the Finance team
• Full responsibility for all aspects of transactional and ledger management
• Support for the Financial Controller
• Cash management and forecasting
• Ensure compliance with all Group reporting and control requirements

We are looking for:

• An experienced Finance professional with proven experience of working in a similar role and / or at an equivalent level in a comparable business
• Experience of working in manufacturing or a similar industry sector and managing a small team
• A degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent Finance-focused subject and/or a professional finance qualification (CIMA preferred)
• Strong experience in Finance systems and processes
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines with a high attention to detail and accuracy
• A team player, with the ability to carry out tasks autonomously and collaboratively
• Clear and effective communication style, both internally and externally
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
• Someone who enjoys change environments and can identify and make improvements
