Senior Auditor - R2R

We are searching for an energetic and open-minded SOX Auditor (Bangalore, India) to join our team who will be responsible for supporting the Record-to-Report (R2R) Workstream Lead and SOX Assurance Manager with the delivery of our SOX Assurance programme. The work collaboration includes a strong liaison within the internal stakeholders across the business and externally at a senior level.
Key

Responsibilities:

• Maintain technical awareness and understanding of key accounting standards and PCAOB requirements, and ensuring these are applied in review and testing of SOX controls.
• Perform walkthroughs, control design and operating effectiveness testing of SOX controls in a timely manner and address review comments. Define and articulate deficiencies identified through testing and develop apt remediation recommendations in alignment with the key business contacts.
• Build a robust understanding of Micro Focus' R2R processes, risks and controls globally and build and maintain rapport with key contacts within the business.
• Support the Workstream Lead with planning and management activities, including coordination with external audit testing activities and monitoring of deficiencies.
• Support the Workstream Lead with monitoring and impact-assessment of key activities/changes that SOX controls and ensuring they are appropriately addressed.
• Provide ad hoc support as required.

Education and Experience Required:

• A Bachelor's degree and Chartered Accountant
• Audit experience in Big 4
• Relevant industry experience is a strong advantage
• Advanced English is a must

Knowledge and Skills Required:

• Strong technical knowledge of revenue accounting standards and internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR)
• Effective analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for details
• Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to communicate effectively in a remote setup.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge a must, variety of business application skills an advantage
• Looking forward to work within a fast operating team and able to work well under pressure
