As Solenis continues to grow and expand, we are looking for a talented team member to join the EMEA VAT Compliance & Reporting team in Warsaw. The position will report to the VAT Supervisor and will be working closely with the rest of the tax and finance team in EMEA.

This is an office-based opportunity in Solenis SSC in Warsaw, and our new employee will begin their work in our brand new office near Rondo Daszynskiego M2 station.

Main responsibilities:
As VAT Assistant your main responsibilities will be:

• Support the EMEA VAT Compliance & Reporting team in preparation and filing of VAT returns, Intrastat reports, EC Sales Lists, as applicable for selected EMEA countries, including extraction and analysis of data from SAP;
• Preparation of reconciliations and clean-up of VAT accounts on a monthly, quarterly and/or annual basis, as deemed applicable;
• Documentation, implementation and improvement of procedures and flows of information for the purpose of generating VAT returns;

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role you will have/be:

• Degree (bachelor) in Finance, Tax and/or Accounting or expected to graduate within a year;
• Relevant working experience in a tax practice is an advantage;
• Fluent in English. Knowledge of any other language(s) is a plus;
• Strong computer skills: Excel, Word, Power Point.
• Strong numerical understanding, analytical skills with detail orientation;
• Organized, capable of handling multiple tasks and deadlines;
• Team player, service minded, flexible, enthusiastic, informal, perseverant, able to find solutions;
• Unimpeachable integrity.
