Based in Peterborough, I am seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk for a busy team who support a number of sites across the Midlands. Part of an International business this is a great role for someone looking for a career in Finance. We will consider 6 months experience, but may have actively studied, either through a Degree or AAT. Or an experienced hire who is looking for a local position and has a genuine interest in working in a small but perfectly formed finance team.

Key skills required include;

  • Confident in dealing with invoice queries

  • Able to adapt to change and react positively to deadlines

  • An interest in developing their skills through one to ones with Line Manager

  • Able to work in a team environment

  • Ability to set your own goals and prioritise

  • Experience in a finance related position looking to develop career

  • Strong attention to detail

Key tasks will include;

  • Processing invoices and authorising payments

  • Reconciliation of supplier statements

  • Action payment requests

  • Build relationships with suppliers

  • Meet month end deadlines

  • Reconciliation on nominal ledger

  • Maintain accuracy on all accounting transactions and documentation
