Our Risk and Regulatory team (R&R) team focuses on the Wealth and Asset Management sector, within Consulting, providing comprehensive risk and regulatory services through a suite of solutions. These solutions centre around supporting our clients with regulatory change implementation, risk and regulatory reviews and regulatory transformation of our client's operating model.
We have an opportunity for a strong team player with a great work ethic and excellent professional skills for the role of Manager focusing on the Wealth and Asset Management industry. You will perform projects in accordance with the client's risk management strategy and EY's internal methodologies where applicable.

Qualifications:
Responsibilities include
  • Secure and enhance relationships with senior client management.
  • Take responsibility of quality of deliverables produced and manage the lifecycle of the project ( kick off - wrap up)
  • Maintain active communication with senior managers, partners and clients to manage expectations and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Assign engagement teams to exceed client's expectations in terms of knowledge, skills and delivery of high quality and relevant outputs
  • Perform engagement management activities including billing, working with clients regarding payment issues, staff scheduling and performing work.
  • Ensure all quality and risk management requirements are met before, during and after client engagements.
  • Build strong internal relationships across WAM Consulting Sector, which is a team of approximately 90 people
  • Assist in conducting performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback for staff
  • Mentor new staff in the team, ensuring a structured career path for each with a clearly defined, corresponding training program.
  • Provide learning and growth opportunities to staff
  • Identify Risk Services training needs of staff members.
  • Contribute to people initiatives including recruiting, retaining, team engagement and learning and development.
Skills and experience required
  • Strong academic record including at least a 2.1 classified degree or equivalent, a professional qualification would be advantageous
  • Strong understanding of the investment management industry:
    • Front Office - Investment process, portfolio management and broking
    • Middle Office - Distribution, client reporting and performance analytics
    • Back Office - Investment accounting, Clearing and settlement and Corporate actions
  • Solid understanding of regulatory agenda and technical knowledge of regulation impacting financial services firms
  • Significant experience within an investment/asset management company or through serving relevant clients via a professional services firm
  • Project management experience relating to transformation projects in investment management firms
  • Experience in one or more of regulation
  • Experience of risk assessment, mitigation and remediation
  • Confident and credible communicator who displays both technical knowledge and commercial understanding
  • Excellent core consulting skills
