Orka Financial is working with a well-established business, based in Basingstoke, who are looking to hire a Senior Accounts Payable candidate to join it's finance team, you will be reporting to the Finance Manager working within a busy environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist who has previous experience of Automating an AP function and streamlining processes.

Responsibilities

• Processing multi-currency purchase invoices
• Monitoring AP mail box
• Carry out monthly supplier statement reconciliations and follow up on resulting queries
• Dealing with telephone and email supplier queries
• Checking and processing expenses
• Participate in process improvement projects, ensure best practice and offer ideas for continuous improvement
• Flexible approach and open to continuous improved ways of working
• Ensuring accurate VAT records
• VAT return completion.

Requirements

• Essential - Must have previous experience of automating an Accounts Payable function
• Essential - Must have previous experience of streamlining processes
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Good IT skills to include Word and Excel
