Your new role

This role will be looking after part of the business with a turnover of circa £30 million.

Due to an ERP implementation project and the fast growth of their organisation, our client is now looking for a Commercial Finance Manager to join their team.

This role will have three direct reports and will report directly into the Financial Controller. This position is extremely commercial and is 25% reporting and 75% Finance Business Partners with multiple stakeholders.

Key Skills

  • Business partnering particularly with operations/delivery and procurement
  • Excel spreadsheets and analysis - Working closely with the warehouse and procurement - experience of those areas would be an advantage
  • Management of 3 staff, strong management skills required
  • Project work, this role will support the Financial Controller in various projects alongside their own duties
  • Communication (Keeping multiple stakeholders updated)
  • Experience of providing detailed financial reporting, but also the ability to see the bigger picture (i.e. be able to tell the story and not just crunch the numbers)
  • Budgeting and 12m rolling forecasting



What you'll need to succeed

  • Must be used to a fast-paced environment and be able to cope with the demands coming from multiple areas at once.
  • The ability to be able to prioritise your workload is essential.
  • Used to working under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Their current systems are poor so you must be prepared to muck in and get your hands dirty.
  • Excellent Excel skills to get the results/analysis done
  • You will need get up and go and like talking to non-finance colleagues
