Operational Risk and Internal Control Manager

We are looking for an Operational Risk and Internal Control Manager, who will be responsible to implement and monitor the Operational Risk and Internal Control procedures within the entity. The position is independent.

His key role is to identify, analyse and monitor operational risk, to ensure that proper mitigation measures are in place. He will also to develop the control and risk culture in the company and finally ensure that an efficient internal control system is in place.

The person will be reporting to the COO (Chief Operation Officer).

Main Responsibilities :
  • Ensure the implementation of the SG group policies regarding Operational Risk Framework (notably Risk cartography, loss collection, Key Risks indicators, Risk Control Self-Assessment, External Outsource Services).
  • Collect, analyse and report operational risk events, investigate roots and provide support to mitigate risk through action plans, engaging with all relevant parts of the business.
  • Coordinate the Permanent Supervision exercise ensuring the implementation of adequate of control and monitoring the corrective measures taken by business units.
  • Identify operational risk arising from changes in the entity procedures, new products, new channels etc.
  • Enhance the fraud detection procedures.
  • Key interlocutor for SG Group Operational Risk Function, and for SG Group LOD 3 function (Audit)
  • Spread the risk and control culture in the business units.
  • Perform, if needed, ad-hoc controls to challenge the efficiency of the internal control system.

Main requirements
  • Experience 5-10 years in internal Audit, Consulting or Operational Risks.
  • Solid risk culture and knowledge of regulatory environment.
  • Ability to involve the other business units, and monitor their contribution.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Pro-active mind-set, positive behaviour, ability to identify and put forward new ideas for improvements, including processes efficiency.
  • Good presentation skills, both orally and in documents structure for company's management.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Fluent English language (min. B2).
  • Good time management and organizational skills, able to work in autonomy.
