The Role
This is a project accountant role reporting to the Financial Controller. You will be an integral member of a close knit team who help each other out. The business has been evolving quickly with acquisitions and as a result they have been moving into new lines of business offerings, resulting in this newly created position. Your key responsibilities will include:

To be considered for this role, you need to have worked in a similar role where you have partnered the operations people in a business where project job costing is the nature of the industry. You will need to be very inquisitive, really looking to understand the business itself so that you can effectively account for the reality of transactions. It will be essential that you have strong relationship building skills, given the partnering nature of this role. Additionally you need to be detailed and hands on but also be able to get out of the detail and look at this from a holistic viewpoint.

The Role
This is a project accountant role reporting to the Financial Controller. You will be an integral member of a close knit team who help each other out. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Business partnering multiple project managers to provide the financial support around each project, ensuring accurate reporting.
- Analysing the profit margins for each individual project.
- Partnering with the PM teams and the commercial contracts team to ensure the budgets for each project are accurately recorded and set up correctly so that actual costs are accurately recorded once the projects go live
- Assisting the Financial Controller with monthly management accounts as required
- Analyse the pricing and profit margins by project
- Ensure the accounting of variations to contract terms are accurately recorded and therefore on charged correctly, to ensure the project profitability is accurately recorded
- A systems improvement focus, as this business is embarking on a system change which you will be part of; you will be required to educate the business to ensure accurate recoding of data for financial outputs.
- Other ad hock analysis as required.
