At BGL Group, we're evolving our Life Insurance proposition (BGL Life) with a clear focus on scaling our customer and business outcomes. We're seeking a BI/Commercial Insight Manager to push forward our Business Intelligence, reporting and insight capability. Our role has significant involvement on immediate and long-term innovative priorities. Your top 3 focus areas to begin with are:

Commercial Insight: Be our trend and insight spotter to influence business and trading decisions. You'll uncover new and unknown insights, showcase evidence and recommend unexplored commercial and customer opportunities. Reporting: Develop and automate dashboards to track performance targets and trends. As the business has grown, our reporting capabilities welcome a fresh inspection to deliver a clear and unified 'version of truth' status across our reporting portfolio. Investigate feasibility & deployment of a self-service BI Model: Our vision is to empower our teams and automate reporting requests. You'll work with peers to gather requirements and factor in technical, people, practice and process considerations to build a strategic BI solution.
In the short term your role will be to re-set the insight and reporting capability, and re-focus on shaping your role and function to be a strategic influencer.

What will it take to be successful as our BI/Commercial Insight Manager?

We're ideally looking for:

Previous BI/insight experience with the ability to turn analytical solutions into actionable business propositionsAbility to articulate complex information in high quality presentations to a wide range of stakeholdersAble to partner with key stakeholders and build relationships to ensure our reporting and insight capability and systems are fit for purpose

Technical abilities

Advanced Excel, SQL, and PowerBI skillsUnderstanding of and experience of using relational database design and structuresExperience with Tableau (desirable)
