Commercial and value-adding Management Accountant required by a prestigious organisation based in Loughborough


Your new company

This prestigious organisation offer a wide range of services across the UK and, due to continued growth plans, are seeking to recruit a qualified, commercially focused Management Accountant to lead a small team and oversee the maintenance and creation of a value-add set of management accounts and board reports.

Your new role

Reporting into the Director of Finance you role will play a key role in building and presenting financial information able to support the ongoing growth plans of the business. the duties will include;

  • Lead the production of the monthly management accounts process to deliver reliable, insightful and timely reporting to drive business performance
  • Develop a monthly reporting dashboard that analyses and displays key performance data and indicators, including variance to forecast, trend information, appropriate ratios
  • Prepare Trust-Level reports for the Executive Team and at Board level, communicating budget data, analysis, commentary and KPIs, to provide insight and drive decision making.
  • Manage the annual budget and regular re-forecasting processes including setting and communicating process timetables, creating presentations and analysis packs, uploading data into the Finance system, generating reporting and undertaking data quality checks.
  • Deliver continuous improvement of financial planning and budgeting to ensure compliance with appropriate financial standards and deliver 'best in class' reporting.
  • Deliver positive change and work collaboratively to develop systems and processes.
  • Plan and oversee various aspects of finance related projects to deliver positive change
  • Effectively coach and lead a small team to develop and drive excellence


What you'll need to succeed

You will be a qualified finance professional with a demonstrable and strong background in management accounting, including the creation of dashboards, report development and improvement and supporting business decisions through insightful commentary and analysis.
