International, leading business recruiting a Financial Systems Analyst. Work with Group Team in the preparation of financial reporting deliverables

Description

Work closely with and support the Group Financial Reporting Team in the efficient and timely preparation of the financial reporting deliverables. This includes:

  • Corporate Performance Management Software
    • Responsible for the administration, maintenance and development, which manages complex financial consolidation processes across the Group including daily ETLs from Sage, logic packages or business rules, foreign exchange calculations, cash flow, intercompany processes, balance sheet elimination rules, separate modules for a leasing solution and cash forecasting etc
    • Responsible for new account creations across the group and evidencing approval via a sharepoint approval workflow.
    • Responsible for administrating access rights and privileges (new starters, leavers etc)
    • Responsible for maintaining work status controls and rolling periods (locking and unlocking periods, configuration of monthly ETL)
    • Responsible for maintaining key internal controls on data and systems that support a strong IT control environment. Responsible for a semi-annual control self-assessment, which assesses the operating effectiveness of key controls, and identifies actions plans for any control failures
    • Responsible for report development and continuous improvement on financial processes that reference data. Striving to automate manual system dependent excel reports
    • Liaise with third party support provider for technical support where required, updates and training to keep the company aligned with best practice.
      • Project manage support provider on larger system projects.
      • Play a lead role in training users and ensuring key process are well documented and widely accessible.
      • Formalise development and approval process in a testing environment prior to introduction into the live environment
      • Critical member of the team for the Group's external and internal reporting cycle
      • Sage:
        • Responsible for the administration, maintenance, and development of Sage
        • Responsible for administrating access rights and privileges (new starters, leavers etc)
        • Responsible for maintaining key internal controls on data and systems that support a strong IT control environment. Responsible for a semi-annual control self-assessment on Sage, which assesses the operating effectiveness of key controls, and identifies actions plans for any control failures
        • Liaise with third party support provider for technical support where required, updates and training to keep the company aligned with best practice.
        • Responsible for project managing the integration of new businesses onto Sage
        • Responsible for ensuring the group remains on supported versions of Sage by project managing upgrades
        • Create and maintain Power BI queries
        • Utilise SQL queries to access database
      • Sharepoint:
        • Maintain sharepoint access rights and some content
      • Adhoc project support: for M&A and process improvements. Identify and propose improvements andefficiencies in existing processes, some of which are listed below
        • CoA review to aid with SBU reporting
        • Assist with the integration of Bank Feeds
        • Standardise customer & supplier records across the business
        • Automating Emails from Sage (supplier remittance, customer statements)

Profile

CPM administration experience (consolidation system)
* Ledger administration experience, preferable Sage (or similar)
* Power Query knowledge
* SQL knowledge
* A high potential individual who has the potential to grow with the organisation and contribute significant value to Group Finance.
* Used to work in a time pressured environment.
* Good organisation skills and ability to work under tight deadlines
* Skills to liaise effectively with all levels of management and other regional businesses.
* Proven experience in analysing complex issues and making decisions in a timely fashion, balancing priorities effectively to ensure deadlines are met.
* Well organised, with good attention to detail and high levels of intrinsic motivation that manifests itself in a 'can do' attitude and reliable and flexible approach.
* Good problem solver with intellectual curiosity
* Good team player, hunger to learn and confident, good interpersonal and communication skills
* Confident and articulate

Job Offer

Salary of £50,000 - £55,000 plus benefits
