An exciting AVP, IT Risk Manager job has just been made available at large financial institution based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Your main responsibility will be to facilitate the technology risk management and develop policies, framework and regulatory requirements.

About the AVP, IT Risk Manager Role:
You will be responsible for the effective IT risk awareness as well as being an advisory for policies, framework and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

To facilitate Technology Risk Management to ensure effective risk identification, mitigation and monitoring, particularly, Technology related fraud risk and implement monitoring tools

To develop/review Technology related policies, guidelines and plans

To participate in or perform reviews of IT projects to ensure that risks are effectively identified and managed

To provide advice on risk, Technology policies, framework and regulatory requirements

To promote awareness of Information Security through training and awareness programme

To provide guidance and training to Department Risk Officers and Department Compliance Officers on technology related subjects

To succeed in this AVP, IT Risk Manager role, you will need to be a high-potential and motivated individual who goes the extra mile to make a difference, ensuring that risks affecting the business is adequately covered.

Key Requirements:

Tertiary professional qualification in Computer Science, Information System or related disciplines

Minimum of 10 years' experience in IT related environment including risk, security and control related functions

Good Technology risk identification and management skills

Good IT related knowledge, i.e. risk management, investigation techniques, Information security and controls, regulatory requirements, policies and IT practices and benchmarks

Good knowledge of project management and the ability to manage multiple project/tasks with given deadline

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Pro-actively keep abreast with job related function including technology, solutions and tools
