DOC's Business Analysts are critical to the successful delivery and operation of the Department's complex technology systems and services.

He angitūtanga: About the Role
As a DOC Business Analyst, you'll be responsible for working with key business stakeholders through the multi-year implementation of our new Digital Strategy, and then onwards as the enhanced capabilities transform the way DOC works.

He kōrero mōu: What we are looking for
This appointment requires an enquiring mind, superior analytical skills, and a great communication style. You'll be comfortable working with a diverse range of people from field rangers to senior leaders. You'll maintain awareness of DOC's iconic role in New Zealand, and our work with the Treaty Partner in making New Zealand the greatest living space on Earth. We expect you to be a great writer with the ability to tailor your communication style for diverse audiences and levels of detail. You'll thrive on understanding and optimizing processes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.

Required:

* Strong, adaptive communication skills: you omit needless words; you inspire; you are sensitive to the information needs of your audience;
* You're a self-starter; a team player; a connector;
* Minimum 5 years of business analysis experience in a complex enterprise;
* Clear understanding of good business analysis practice and a commitment to “walking the talk”;
* Delivery focused, you will be well organized and structured, with a coherent and consistent approach to personal work management;
* Curious and innovative with a willingness to “right size” your approach to suit a variety of business working styles.

Desired:

* Experience working with a variety of delivery approaches (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid, etc.);
* Ideally, experience through the whole project and systems delivery lifecycle. This is mandatory for Senior BA(s).
