Must be a CA, Honour Degree in Financial Accounting (NQF Level 8) is essential.
MBA or MDP or any Leadership Development programme is desirable.
Minimum of 8 years working experience in a Senior Management role is essential.
Working experience in a Mining industry is desirable.
Computer literacy MS Office package + MRM is essential
Valid medical certificate or be medically fit to obtain such a certificate
COMPETENCIES:
Must have the skills to use SAP/BW/BPC
Must have the knowledge of mining industry, accounting and commercial processes, best practice and governance.
Must have a good understanding of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
Must have communication, presentation, leadership, planning & organising, problem solving & analytical skills.
Must have influencing and envisioning skills at an Executive, Senior Management and Union leadership levels.
Must have good computer skills.
Must have project management, negotiation & conflict management, verbal and written skills.

Provide strategic direction as well as financial and commercial management and governance to support the Rustenburg Operations in order to achieve the strategic and operational objectives of the business and to ensure and drive sustainable financial performance
Provide the leadership and support that is necessary to the business to ensure required change is embraced
To ensure that all the necessary financial management systems and processes are in place to ensure sound financial management controls and support the Rustenburg leadership team
To provide leadership, management and oversight to ensure that the following commercial functions are strategically aligned, effectively maintained and enhanced:
- Procurement & Purchase to Pay - ensure sustainability through good corporate governance, business partnerships and supplier relations in line with business objectives and needs
- Property - manage and oversee all accommodation operations, maintenance and administration thereof and to ensure Impala does legally comply with the Mining Charter on all housing and living conditions as specified by the charter.
- Community Development & Compliance - strategise and manage a portfolio of projects to deliver benefit to stakeholders and host communities including Local Economic Development (LED) projects for SLP compliance, Socio Economic Development (SED) and Corporate Social Investments (CSI) Initiatives.
- Payroll - ensure that the Payroll function runs smoothly and that employees are remunerated accurately and timeously - Reporting - to report on Commercial Services performance to internal and external stakeholders on a daily, monthly, quarterly and bi-annual basis and ad-hoc basis. To report and/or escalate major unwanted events, critical incidents or key identified risks as required
To source the required external specialised legal services for Impala, internally or externally, with the support of Group Legal team, as and when required
To ensure that the service received from Group functions e.g. Information Technology, HR support, group financial and management accounting support etc. is actively managed and fit for purpose.
To provide financial support to special projects with commercial requirements especially where these projects require specialist tax, accounting and governance inputs
