Corporate Payroll Manager

Things you should know about working as a Corporate Payroll Manager:
Manage the weekly/bi-weekly processing of CCCI payroll within SAP. Includes ensuring direct deposit funding and paper checks are handled timely. Multi-state payroll experience is beneficial; we pay 4 Federal id numbers in 22 States and approximately 600 local tax agencies. Direct the daily/weekly work effort of direct reports. Advise and notify management of garnishment regulatory compliance law changes. Act as backup to the Tax Compliance Manager, as needed; experience with federal, state, and local tax returns is preferred. Work together with the Payroll Director to implement systems changes, regulatory requirements, and payroll projects. Participate in monthly General Ledger close activities related to SAP accounting, reconciling payroll accounts. Provide required documentation for audit inquiries.

What would success look like?
  • Submit payroll jobs successfully within SAP on Monday nights.
  • Maintain a full understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations with regards to withholding law and disbursement requirements.
  • Work independently to accomplish tasks.
  • Utilize experience, knowledge, and analytical skills to handle problems.
  • Manage the ADP filing processes for Garnishments.
  • Support the Payroll Director as necessary on requirements and projects.
  • Direct the work effort of payroll team effectively.
  • Process off-cycle bonus uploads in SAP.
  • Participate in monthly GL close activities related to SAP financial accounting, including balancing, reconciling GL accounts.
  • Provide requested documentation for audit purposes upon request.
  • Acquire knowledge from the Tax Compliance Manager.
  • Train new employees on Payroll processes and create SOPs for new procedures.
  • Collaborate successfully with business partners to reach a common goal.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of payroll tax experience
  • Experience with ADP
  • Experience with SAP or Success Factors payroll systems are a plus
