Transaction Reporting Manager - COO - London

The Role
A key role in supporting the daily regulatory reporting activity, the Transaction Reporting Manager ensures Aviva Investors complies with its regulatory obligations for completeness, accuracy and timeliness of MiFID II Transaction Reporting and Post Trade Transparency Reporting.

The Team
This role is based within Aviva Investors Controls Operations and Assurance team, reporting to the Head of CASS and Transaction Reporting. As a newly created team which is fast paced and deadline driven, the Transaction Reporting Manager will be instrumental in supporting the transition of project resources into a permanent, stable BAU regulatory reporting function with in-depth knowledge of trade and transaction reporting.

Responsibilities


• Managing and overseeing daily regulatory reporting activity for MiFID II Transaction Reporting and Post Trade Transparency Reporting.

• Managing a team of Transaction Reporting Analysts responsible for completion of day-to-day workflows and processes; managing transmission exceptions and completion of reconciliations between source system and ARM / NCA.

• Managing and maintaining robust control environment to ensure regulatory reporting is complete, accurate and timely.

• Management of the team including coaching and development of the team members and managing team performance.

• Stakeholder management across Front Office, Operations, Compliance and Change Management.

• Production of Management Information and Key Performance Indicators on reporting production and quality.

• Work with internal business teams to drive improvements, identify and remediate defects in internal system impacting reporting and assist with User Acceptance Testing for system enhancements

• Ensuring sound processes and procedures are diligently followed and are kept in line with changes and developments in Market Practice and Regulations.

• Participating in external supplier/vendor conferences, networking with peers and feeding back regulatory updates where applicable.

Requirements


• In-depth technical knowledge and previous track record of managing Transaction Reporting or experience of Dodd Frank, EMIR, MiFID II

• Technical, Market and Product Knowledge: Sound awareness of market landscape and knowledge of end to end operational processes.

• Ability to lead and manage a group of people. Ability to engage in strategic thinking, decision making and problem analysis.

• Effective stakeholder management including senior managers, and ability to deliver in a fast paced and changing environment.

• Ability to clearly articulate issues, with supporting analysis and documentation.

• Degree or equivalent qualification desirable
