Assistant Accountant
Up to £28k, Depending on Experience
Full Time, Permanent Position!

Dynamite Recruitment is currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join an SME business based on the outskirts of Chichester. This role would suit an Assistant Financial Accountant or someone who is interested in Financial Accounting.

The Role:

* Reporting to the Financial Controller
* Managing weekly cashflow reporting
* Responsible for producing monthly financial statements, analysis and reports
* Providing customer analysis
* Managing customer performance analysis
* Partnering with non-finance stakeholders advising on cashflow issues
* Perform month-end closing and financial reporting process
* Managing large ledger accounts
* Sole responsibility of the debtor books
* Posting customer payments from multi-currency bank accounts
* Monitoring terms aged debt and all other income streams
* Chasing overdue invoices by telephone, email and letter according to the processes
* Post and reconcile bank payments and sales ledger
* Perform day to day accounts receivable and payable tasks
* Monitor processes and controls to improve processes
* Working with the systems development to improve functionality of the bespoke system
* Maintenance of the general ledger
* Monthly journal entries
* Liaising with Management across various departments

The Ideal Candidate:

* Experience within a similar position
* Previous Business Partnering skills (desirable)
* Strong Excel and analytical and reporting skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Confident manipulating large datasets
* Strong attention to detail
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to prioritise and manage multiple responsibilities
