Permanent Accounts Assistant job in Practice in Dundee, salary negotiable depending on experience + 31 days AL

Hays Accountancy & Finance are recruiting on behalf of their established Accountancy Practice client for an experienced Accounts Assistant due to company growth. Salary is negotiable depending on experience + 31 days annual leave, flexible working, pension and other benefits. This role is currently working from home but will ultimately be based working in the office in Dundee.
Your new role
In your new role you will be responsible for accounts preparation for a range of clients including sole traders, limited companies & partnerships. You will be responsible for preparation of VAT returns and processing year end journal entries to clients' accounting systems. You will complete general filing and administration duties in connection with accounts work. As an Accounts Assistant you will prepare and review management accounts and annual statutory financial statements and regularly liaise with clients within your portfolio.
What you'll need to succeed
As a successful candidate you will be a highly experienced Accounts Assistant and will have experience of working within an accountancy practice. You will ideally have experience of Sage and/or Xero and other cloud based accounting packages. You will be a highly organised individual with strong interpersonal skills and be confident working unsupervised and independently.
