Financial Analyst

Summary: Primary accountant for the management of various customer and vendor trade agreement programs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the accounting, finance and purchasing teams in the management of customer and vendor trade agreements (i.e., rebates, spiffs, market development funds, and administrative fees)
  • Review, catalog and implement the accounting and analysis for trade agreements
  • Coordinate the billing, collection and application of trade agreement funds
  • Develop and maintain forecasts for trade agreement funds
  • Schedule and manage agreement expiration and renewal efforts
  • Work closely with the accounting staff as a resource for the Controller in a wide variety of other subjects and provide assistance on various special requests and ad hoc reports
  • Assist with information requests from other areas of the business
  • Understanding of accounting, financial and workflow processes
  • Ability to organize multiple responsibilities, prioritize workload and perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently and to propose and implement solutions and best practices
  • Must have high degree of confidentiality and maturity
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Advanced Excel formula (i.e., IF, SUMIF, VLOOKUP, etc.) and PivotTable skills preferred
  • Experience with business intelligence or analysis software tools preferred
  • Intermediate alpha/numeric data entry skills
  • Proficiency with general ledger and accounts receivable accounting in a high-volume ERP environment
  • Good analytical and documentation skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented
Education / Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in accounting or finance
  • Minimum 6 months experience working in an accounting or financial analysis field
