The role of a Finance Analyst with Business Intelligence is within an exciting Global Pharmaceutical Company.

Client Details

Our client is a Global Pharmaceutical Company with the main finance hub based in East London. They are looking to continue the companies growth within an ever-evolving sector.

Description

Within this role -

Support monthly close process through partnership with Accounting as well as the broader FP&A team based in Europe
  • Review of cost centres balances against budget and analyse discrepancies
  • Prepare and conduct monthly financial controls meeting with the operational department to discuss variances against budget
  • Computation of a part of the monthly closing writings ( Stock valuation, Samples stock valuation, Obsolete stock provision, bad debts provision)
  • First review of management accounts - The person needs to be able to read and understand the income statement and balance sheet to identify discrepancies
  • Analysis of gross sales to net sales evolution
  • Preparation of P&Ls per client/ranges
  • Preparation of monthly turnover reporting
  • Provide senior management with insightful analyses to explain trends/variancesIdentify key trends and potential risks and opportunities across the International businessAssist with annual budgeting and quarterly re-forecasting in close collaboration with corporate functional leads in Operations specifically focused on supply chain and logisticsEstablish business relationships across the organisation and be a key FP&A contact for the Operations teamsDevelop and improve upon recurring reporting processes and assist in KPI preparation and analysisContinuously look to increase efficiency through processes automationRun ad-hoc analyses for cross-functional leaders and management in the London office

    Business Intelligence -

    • Creating, updating and maintaining dashboards and reports.
    • Perform daily sell-in/sell-out analysis into details (SKU, range, period, …)
    • Send daily updates on sales performances to all departments.
    • Creating, updating and maintaining dashboards and reports.
    • Researching possible software solutions to increase structure and work efficiency with parallel implementation in the two entities.
    • Training users on developed files and reports.

    Profile

    As a Successful Financial Analyst, they would have -

    • Relevant Degree in Finance or a related field.
    • Part Qualified (ATT, CIMA & ACCA)
    • 2-3+ years of experience in Finance - Retail, Pharma & FMCG
    • Interest in PowerBi and Business Intelligence software.
    • Must be a proactive and highly organised self-starter, able to work independently and under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication/collaboration skills, particularly the ability to explain complex concepts to non-financial audiences; the role involves building strong relationships across the organisation.
