Job Description/Requirements
Dutiesand Responsibilities
· Support duties related to accounts payable and accountsreceivable functions
· Assist with preparation of financial and statistical statementsand reports
· Analyze financial information in order to identify discrepancies
· Research and resolve discrepancies in a timely fashion
· Maintain confidentiality of all financial data
· Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulationsto all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards
· Compile and prepare routine reports and summaries
· Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies
· Create and update expense reports
· Processreimbursement forms
· Prepare bank deposits
· Enterfinancial transactions into internal databases
· Checkspreadsheets for accuracy
· Maintaindigital and physical financial records
· Issueinvoices to customers and external partners, as needed
· Reviewand file payroll documents
· Participate in quarterly and annual audits
Requirements and Qualification
· A degree or HND in Accounting,Bookkeeping, Finance, or similar field. An equivalent combination of education,training, and experience can be substituted.
· 1-3 years of relevant, hands-onaccounting experience
· Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills
· Strong attention to detail andaccuracy
· Ability to work independently onassigned duties
· Demonstrates an ability to manage avariety of priorities while meeting deadline
· Workexperience as an Accounting Assistant orAccountingClerk
· Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
· Familiarity with finance regulations
· Good math skills and the ability to spotnumerical errors
· Hands-onexperience with MS Excel or accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)
· Organization skills
· Ability to handle sensitive, confidentialinformation
