Currently we are looking for candidates for the position of Local Division Business Controller.
You will be responsible for leading local controlling team to optimize finance performance within local division. You will also support effective business decisions by monitoring, analyzing, and interpreting financial data in order to evaluate various business alternatives and recommend the most appropriate business solutions.

Your responsibilities

  • Contributing to the definition of the strategy for local division. Serving as the key partner for the relevant business leader in determining strategy for area of responsibility, aligning with wider strategy, implementing, and making adjustments in implementation as needed.
  • Translating strategy into business plans and establishing measurable targets. Overseeing the business planning and forecasting process for the area of responsibility. Evaluating financial implications of various strategic decisions, building scenarios and recommending actions.
  • Monitoring progress achieved and providing insight and analysis to support operational decision-making proactively. Identifying issues and advising management on action plans and operational strategies to resolve.
  • Driving appropriate cost structure, productivity optimization, and capital efficiency. Managing and monitoring the orders, revenues, costs, inventory, margins, cash flow.
  • Conducting the budgeting process in accordance with the best standards and with the involvement of all internal stakeholders. Ensuring all KPIs are regularly measured, monitored, reported according to timeline as well as remaining on budget or defined target.
  • Establishing and overseeing processes and tools necessary to obtain transparent and reliable financial data, taxation and business information. Ensuring high quality of financial data and business information in line with defined standards and financial closing schedules.
  • Ensuring transparency in financial reporting and disclosures. Defining and implementing internal controls regarding financial and non-financial operations. Ensuring compliance with corporate and country standards, regulations, and guidelines. Supporting internal and external audits.
  • Ensuring (with HR Manager support) that people leadership and development is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guides, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies and Group Procurement & Logistics excellence guidelines (knowledge management, functional training, etc.).


Your background

  • Higher education in relevant area: Finance, Accounting and solid accounting, controlling knowledge (costing, revenue recognition, provisions, risk management, internal controls).
  • 8 years of experience in Business controlling or finance.
  • Practical understanding of Financial and Management Accounting aspects and ability to build financial awareness within the Local Division Management Team.
  • Strong analytical competency including facts and figures interpretation, synthesis and conclusions formulating.
  • Ease of identifying financial problems, presenting them, and recommending solutions in a clear and effective manner.
  • Proactive, self-starting approach with ability to challenge status quo and get the things done.
  • Ability to lead, develop and empower people.
  • High interpersonal / leadership skills and personal culture, ability to present and communicate at different organization levels and multicultural sensitivity.
  • Paying attention to the details to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data.
  • Excellent planning skills and strong orientation on results and ability to work under time pressure.
  • Flexibility, ability to work in a team and effective cooperation with other areas/functions within the organization.
  • Excellent and fluent written and verbal communication skills in English.
