My client is a large Public Sector organisation based in the Newport area.
They are allowing full home working during lockdown
Description
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Senior Management Accountant will play a key role in the success of the month end reporting. The Senior Accountant will also take the lead on a Programme of systems and proces improvements in Financial Management/reporting across the organisation.
You will be joining a well established team and this is a newly created role to strengthen the management reporting currently in place.
The Senior Management Accountant will be responsible for the timely closure of the month end management accounts. You will report on any variances to budget.
You will work closely with Senior stakeholders across the organisation to educate them around managing their budgets and act as a trusted Finance Business Partner.
You will assist with the production of the Year End statutory accounts
Profile
You will be a fully qualified accountant holding ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA
You will have excellent management accounting experience, ideally in a complex organisation.
Public Sector accounting would be preferential, however any sector will be considered.
You will have excellent interpersonal skills
You will be able to deliver to tight deadlines.
The Ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate developing financial systems and processes and leading continuous improvement in a finance department.
Job Offer
An initial 3-6 month assignment - potential for extension or T2P
Salary c£20 - £30 per hour
