Credit Controller

Basildon

Temp to permanent position

£25,000 per annum

Hours: 08:30-17:30 Monday to Friday

We have an exciting new temp role that will develop into a permanent position for the right candidate with Credit Control/Accounts experience.

Duties:

  • Assist the Senior Finance Administrator in the execution of their duties in support of the Head of Finance's vision of the company to become more streamlined and competitive.
  • Understand and execute the departments vision of good business development in order to reduce costs and become more profitable.
  • Enforce the company's credit management policy and maximise cash balances by chasing and collating debt.
  • Take telephone payment from customers using credit and debit cards.
  • Build and maintain excellent communication and relationships with customers by telephone and electronic communications.
  • Create accounts for new customers.
  • Maintain and reconcile the sales ledger database/account.
  • Resolve all queries relating to invoices within three months to avoid aged debt.
  • Produce management information to the head of Finance as and when required.
  • Ensure that sales ledger transactions are processed in accordance with the accounting timetable, complete month end closedown and complete debtors reports.
  • Maintain good housekeeping of work area at all times.

Person specification:

  • Credit control experience recently.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Able to learn new systems
  • Good eye for detail.
  • Own transport would be desirable due to location of Client.
